Craftsmanship
The Meramec Collection is hand crafted in the USA using only the highest quality northern veneers. Each veneer is hand selected for uniform color and natural beauty. Skilled craftsmen scrape and sand each piece by hand, insuring the uniqueness of each plank. This handcrafting brings to life the true elegance of hardwood flooring. All four sides of every plank are tongue and groove, and are offered in both five and seven inch widths.

Maintenance
The Meramec Collection pre-finished floors create an elegance to your space that is not only durable and beautiful, but easy to maintain. With a traditional smooth hardwood floor, the wear and tear of daily living can cause damage that can result in thousands of dollars of repair or replacement costs. With the texture and character of The Meramec Collection, even the deepest scratches can be blended into the elegant old world look and feel of your hand crafted floor.

Finish
The wood flooring industry’s best craftsmen spent years perfecting the protective coating of The Meramec Collection. The finish is rolled on to achieve the build necessary to ensure years of durability. The flooring is offered with a twenty five year residential warranty and a three year light commercial warranty.

Matching Mouldings
Matching mouldings are available for all of The Meramec Collection products. Each moulding is hand scraped, hand sanded and finished with the same care and craftsmanship as the hand distressed flooring.

Custom Flooring
Because every pre-finished floor is custom made, it is available in virtually any species of wood – Walnut, Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Birch, Beech, Red Oak and White Oak. If a specific color is desired, the flooring can be matched to any sample provided. Custom stain matching and custom widths are also available.

The Meramec Collection Hand Scraped Floors Exclusive Warranty Information

Pre-installation Warranty
The Meramec Collection is hand crafted to the highest quality standards, meeting or exceeding all industry standards. The flooring should be inspected by the installer for any defects prior to the installation. Any defects should be reported, then arrangements will be made for replacements to be provided. The Meramec Collection accepts no responsibility for costs incurred due to installation of a defective floor.

25 Year Residential Finish Warranty
The Meramec Collection Warranty protects against wear through for 25 years under normal residential usage, provided that the recommended maintenance procedures are followed and there are no signs of abuse or misuse.

3 Year Light Commercial Warranty
The Meramec Collection warrants the finish on its products for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, providing proper installation, care and maintenance is performed as defined in the Meramec care and maintenance program and installation instructions provided to all end users. The Meramec finish is warranted against wear through from light commercial traffic for a period of 3 years. Gloss or sheen reduction is not considered wear through; therefore it is not covered under this warranty.

10 Year Light Commercial
Structural Warranty The Meramec Collection warrants that ALL commercially rated products will not separate due to glue bond failure only. Cupping, warping, buckling, etc. are not covered under this warranty. Product exposed to adverse conditions, such as improper maintenance or relative humidity levels outside of The Meramec Collection’s recommended range of 35% - 55% will void this warranty.

Lifetime Residential Structural Warranty
The Meramec Collection’s cross-grained laminated construction resists expansion and contraction due to climate. The engineered flooring is guaranteed to be free from defects in lamination and milling and will remain free of these defects for as long as the original purchaser owns their home. In the unlikely event of delaminating, warping, cupping or buckling of the product due to manufacturer’s defects, The Meramec Collection will replace or repair the affected flooring at no cost to the homeowner.

Additional Terms of the Warranties
These warranties apply only to the original purchaser and to the flooring in its original installation and are not transferable. Responsibility for final inspection and approval falls upon the consumer and installer prior to permanent installation. Prior to actual installation, the floor should be dry-laid, blending the planks from several cartons to determine optimum appearance.

The Meramec Collection is not responsible for labor costs associated with the repair or replacement of visually defective planks after the floor is installed.

Seasonal Checking
In order to maintain the recommended relative humidity of 35% - 55% inside the home, it may be necessary to install a humidifier or dehumidifier. Hardwood flooring is designed to perform in an environmentally controlled structure. Seasonal checking may occur when the environment falls outside of these recommended areas.

Exclusions Not Covered by Warranty
• Improper storage, handling or installation of flooring
• Squeaking and/or cracking by any cause other than the mis-manufacture of flooring
• Man-made or natural disasters including but not limited to: leaking or broken plumbing, fire, flood, earthquake or standing water during or after construction
• Improper preparation of or deficiencies in sub-floor/floor joist assembly including, but not limited to sub-floor materials, fasteners, patching or leveling compounds
• Insect infestation
• Neglect or abuse including but not limited to not taking proper precautions to protect furniture legs and feet with felt protectors, dirty or improper casters, moving heavy objects without a dolly and protective plywood underneath
• Spiked and/or damaged heels
• Pets and pet claws
• Dents or scratches in the flooring caused by furniture, appliances, casters or unusual foot traffic
• Falling or dropped objects which can dent or fracture the flooring and the finish
• Moisture infiltration from sidewalls, appliances or from any surfaces other than through the sub-floor
• Construction traffic abuse to the surface of the flooring
• Non-factory applied finish (by the owner or installer) including but not limited to refinishing or re-coating
• Normal color variations and natural characteristics of real wood
• Normal wearing of the finish in high traffic areas, pivot points and seating areas
• Gloss reduction is not considered wear through and therefore is not covered under the finish warranty

Incidental or consequential damages are excluded under The Meramec Collection’s warranties
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply.

These warranties do not apply to any product designated as other than first quality, including but not limited to mill run, cabin grade, specials, non-standard items or any items or products sold “as is”.
These warranties are effective for The Meramec Collection engineered hardwood flooring sold after the “date of acceptance”.

Disclaimer of Unstated Warranties
The limited warranty described in this section is in lieu of all other warranties of The Meramec Collection, and all other warranties concerning the flooring, express or implied including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness or adequacy for any particular purpose, use or quality are disclaimed.

What to do if there is a problem
The Meramec Collection takes every possible precaution to ensure that the wood floors perform as warranted. In the unlikely event that the product fails to meet expectations, contact the retailer or builder within 30 days of experiencing the problem. The retailer or builder should be able to rectify the situation to satisfaction.

Natural Variations
Wood is a natural product, containing natural variations in tone, color and grain. There is no warranty against natural variations in color within the flooring or variations between samples and the installed floor.<br><br>
